An Opportunity to UKTECH!!

Those of you who have been readers from the start will know that UKTECH is named after a rugby code, used where a member of the team, in trouble at the hands of a bully, would UKTECH and the rest of the team would wade in and add their might. Today is an opportunity to UKTECH. Today is an opportunity for you to react.

William Hague has today tabled an Early Day Motion (EDM 657) in the House, which effectively requests for IR35 to be annulled.

Hague/William "That an humble Address be presented to Her Majesty, praying that the Social Security Contributions (Intermediaries) Regulations 2000 (S.I., 2000, No. 727), dated 13th March 2000, a copy of which was laid before this House on 13th March, be annulled."

This is a real opportunity to put the whole House under pressure to understand the effects of IR35 on real businesses – and an opportunity for them to do the right thing by scrapping it. After the Australian government gave the lead, there are no excuses.

This is a call to action! Take up your pen or keyboard and write to your MP to let them know your concerns. Ask them to represent you and support EDM 657. You can find contact details for your MP at:
