STAND.org, an on-line group, campaigning for 'safe e-commerce legislation', has launched a parliamentary web to fax gateway.

For Contractors concerned about IR35, send a fax into your MP expressing those concerns. Stand is allowing anyone to use the service, so please do not abuse it. The site checks who your MP is, based on your postcode, and then allows you to draft a message online. This is then faxed to your MP free of charge.

The Regulation of Investigatory Powers Bill is worse than you thought. Terrible for business, awful for you, and not much use for Law Enforcement either.

Unlike previous attempts by government, where they (sort of) consulted with the Internet community, RIP is a fast track bill. The first reading was on February 11th. The second reading was on March 6th. It will be law by October 4th.
