Fast-moving firms can beat the big boys

In the first of two articles on why small is beautiful, the Times looks at the advantages to be gained from flexibility.

It cites flexibility and the ability to react quickly as probably the most powerful advantages a small firm has over a large one.

It also warns against sticking rigidly to a business plan which could reduce a small firm's advantage of being able to move quickly in response to new ideas or trends.
