New Shadow Cabinet
The list of the scaled down Shadow Cabinet chosen by the new Conservative leader, Michael Howard, has been announced.
It pits Oliver Letwin, rising-star of the Conservative Party, against Gordon Brown, in the role of Shadow Chancellor.
Mr Letwin has had a previous encounter with a group of 50 freelancers when he addressed a meeting to listen to their concerns, mainly surrounding IR35, in December 2000.
