Newsflash: Freelancers lose Section 660 case (1)

The Inland Revenue has won the Arctic Systems Section 660 case in the Special Commissioners. This will be seen as a huge blow for hundreds of thousands of small businesses owned by husbands and wives.

The decision was not unanimous as the view of the senior Commissioner prevailed by way of a casting vote.
