OTS boss aims for a 'simpler tax system'
The boss of the Office of Tax Simplification (OTS) has admitted that he doesn't believe there will ever be a 'completely simple tax system' but that doesn't stop him aiming for a 'simpler tax system'.
In an interview with Mail on Sunday, John Whiting, former top accountant with Price Waterhouse Cooper, agreed that public confidence in the fiscal system is a little 'shaky' at the moment, particularly in the light of reports that one global company after another seems to be able to dodge the UK's tax bills.
