Revenue wins e-services award
The Inland Revenue's e-services programme has been awarded the "Best innovator in the public sector" award.
A panel of independent experts concluded that the programme had displayed exceptional innovation management and leadership skills in all areas.
The panel of judges which included former CEOs of major blue chip companies said "the Inland Revenue's e-services programme had not only successfully delivered a series of innovative on-line products and services and continues to do so, but furthermore has helped to drive both a cultural change of greater customer-focus within the department, as well as shaping behavioural change among diverse client groups."
Barry Glassberg, Director of the Inland Revenue's e-services programme said: "I am very proud of what we have achieved over the last few years and the success of the e-services programme. This award is for everyone who has contributed to that success."
The award goes to the public sector agency or programme that has "displayed exceptional innovation management and leadership skills in each of the critical best innovator dimensions: strategy, organisation, culture, processes, enabling factors and market successes".
