Clients still need contractors despite IR35

I suspect these reports are overstated. Clients still have a need for contractors and don't want to take on employees.

However, the judicial review and the recent case of O'Murphy versus Hewlett Packard should make clients be more willing to take steps to use contractors on terms that fall outside IR 35.

If a contract falls outside IR 35 then it seems a bit of a no brainer that the contractor is most unlikely to ever be able to claim employment rights from their client. Clients seem to think that using agents is the best protection but only being outside IR 35 seems to offer real certainty in the current changing climate of ever extending employment rights.
