Jobserve tops Sunday Times Profit Track league

The internet job site used by most IT contractors, topped a league drawn from over 1 million private companies, based on the criteria of Profit growth over a period of three years

The company grew profits from £664,000 in 1996 to £7.3 million in 1999. What is staggering is that this profit is on sales of only £8.2 million.

Following on from the spectacular crash of boo.com who managed to get through £80 million of investors' money it is nice to see an Essex boy 'do good'. Robbie Cowling, an ex motor mechanic with a staff of only 31, is based in the depths of the Essex countryside once famous for jam making and oysters!

Also in the top 100 are agencies including Glotel, Computer Futures, Progressive Computer and Morson
