Lords committee thanks PCG for evidence to micro processing enquiry

The House of Lords Science and Technology Committee has thanked the Professional Contractors Group (PCG) for contributing to its enquiry on innovations in micro processing.

The PCG whose membership covers a large range of engineers, IT professionals and oil and gas workers was able to call on its own specialists to help compile the response to the enquiry.

As well as making technical responses, the PCG stressed the need for a mobile and flexible workforce to provide industry with suitably skilled and knowledgeable people.

Chairman of the PCG, Jane Akshar said: "Britain's future success in this market is, we believe, not just linked with the creation of innovations but having a trained and motivated workforce to exploit such innovations.

"We are pleased to help the House of Lords with their study. Our submission is not an academic one but comes from professionals working on the ground in the industry."
