Reader asks for a comparison table of private medical insurance
Erm, I'm a bit of a novice in this medical insurance business - but it is something that I want to do (sharpish, before the big 'three oh' hits and bumps the old premiums up).
I would require cover for myself, my wife and my 10 month old daughter.
Unfortunately as I wouldn't know one policy from another (or even how to investigate such) - would it be possible to illustrate the savings in some kind of comparative table against the other lead insurers? You know a la the training expenses comparison table in the Front Page Story at this site.
You could reply that the information is held on the various web sites for medi-insurance. But I'm after the bottom line cost (try and find that out easily from a pension broker!) comparisons.
I realise that at the end of the day medi-insurance is basically queue jumping ('cos 9 times out of 10 you get treatment from NHS staff & doctors), but I've got a family now, and where they are concerned, morals fly right out of the window (what do you reckon Voice of Reason?)
I am a PCG member and so I would be eligible for the insurance discount.
Any help would be much appreciated. Or, I could do nothing, die from an IR35 stress related heart attack, and make my wife rich!
