'Worse to come for small businesses' - Times

The Times reports concerns that there is 'worse to come for small business' following an ominous pledge by the Chancellor to review the tax system for sole traders and small businesses and the remuneration paid to owner managers

As reported on UKTECH, small businesses and freelancers now have to contend with IR591 - the new dividend tax; IR35 - the 'disguised employee tax'; a strengthening of Section 660 - the 'married couple's business tax' and the threat of more to follow in the form of a Treasury discussion paper scheduled for the next Pre-Budget Report.
